The play is set on the night of Tammy's death April 6, 1998. John who impersonates Tammy is distraught that his idol has passed, how can he go out the very night of her death to perform? That's when Tammy greets him and guides him through the news of her demise in hope that he continues so that her memory may be back on stage. Known as “First Lady of Country Music” her legacy as a chart-toping superstar is featured in the show with several of Tammy’s greatest hits: *My Elusive Dreams”, *You and Me*, “Bedtime Stories” - eleven in all.
